The name "Glöd-(English "Ember")-Gang" describes the walk through fire – The fire-walk and tattooing have been part of our human history, culture, and expression for thousands of years. The fire walk is the most primal form of connecting with the element of fire. People all over the world have lit fires to warm themselves, cook, celebrate, and perform rituals. One of these rituals is the "fire walk." Also, tattooing is an ancient, transformative ritual and a symbol of strength, belonging, and self-expression, often regarded as one of the initiation rites in many cultures.
The intention behind such a personal experience can be very different for each person. A connection with nature, strengthening the sense of community within a group, overcoming personal challenges, quitting smoking or other addictions, pushing personal boundaries or becoming one with the element of fire. Ignite your inner fire!

Welcome to the third edition of Birka Historical Tattoo Fest which will take place 29 MAY - 1 JUNE 2025 in epic @birkavikingastaden.
🐑Here you will meet top world artists from the Historical, Nordic, Celtic, Baltic, Prehistoric and Ornamental tattoo scene, who work with different historical and electrical methods.
🐑At the convention You will meet craftsmens, buy handcrafted replicas and artwork, take part in workshops and lectures and Viking life, read runes, take a tour around the island and Viking graves with a guide, eat good food and listen to great folk/medieval music.
🐑More attractions and programm will be posted soon.
🐑 Presentation of each individual tattoo artist and craftsmens, more entertainment and activities will be announced on instagram and facebook.
